Cecelia Ahern invited to Queen's Reading Room Festival

Irish novelist Cecelia Ahern has been invited to participate in The Queen's Reading Room Festival, scheduled to take place at Chatsworth House in the Peak District on September 19-20. The event, associated with Queen Camilla's initiative to promote literacy and champion literature, will feature a lineup of prominent authors including Jojo Moyes, Elif Shafak, Kate Mosse, and Meg Mason.

Ahern, known globally for her debut novel ‘PS I Love You’, expressed her enthusiasm for the invitation and the opportunity to engage with readers and fellow writers. While she has not yet met Queen Camilla, she noted her admiration for the Queen's efforts to highlight the importance of reading. Ahern previously encountered the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2011 during a royal visit to Ireland.
