Cecilia Villanueva Oshiro linked to Movadef registration lists

Cecilia Villanueva Oshiro, a candidate for city councilor for the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima and a staff member in the office of Deputy Kim Muñoz, has been linked to documents submitted by Movadef. The controversy arose after it was revealed that her name appeared on membership lists presented to the National Jury of Elections (JNE) in 2011 during the group's attempt to register as a political party.

Villanueva, a member of the Fuerza Popular party, has denied any affiliation with the organization, which is linked to the Shining Path insurgent group. She stated that her information was used illicitly and that her signature was falsified. She has reportedly sought clarification from the JNE, the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), and her party leadership.

Other political figures have also been implicated in the 2011 lists, including Lenin Tafur, a former congressional candidate, who also denied authorizing the use of his personal data. Similar claims of identity theft and falsified signatures have been made by candidates from other parties, such as Alianza para el Progreso and Juntos por el Perú.
