Ceconomy reports increased revenue and profit for fiscal year 25/26

Ceconomy, the parent company of MediaMarktSaturn, reported significant growth in its preliminary results for the 2025/26 fiscal year ending in September. The company’s adjusted EBIT rose by 27 percent to 515 million euros, marking the 15th consecutive quarter of profitability growth.

Revenue increased by 5.3 percent to 24.0 billion euros, driven largely by strong performance in household appliances, IT, and mobile devices. Looking ahead, the retailer has set a target of approximately 800 million euros in adjusted EBIT for the 2028/29 fiscal year.

Ceconomy currently operates 1,068 stores under the MediaMarkt, MediaWorld, and Saturn brands across eleven European countries, with 390 locations in Germany. The company is also currently subject to a potential takeover bid by the Chinese online retailer JD.com, which has received approval from the German Federal Cartel Office while remaining under review by the European Union.
