Cecotec to build 150 million euro housing gigafactory in Almussafes

The Cecotec Group and the Almussafes City Council in Valencia have signed a protocol of actions to establish a large-scale industrialized housing gigafactory. The project involves an estimated investment of 150 million euros and aims to create approximately 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The facility is planned for the ZND-IN1 industrial sector, a site exceeding 515,000 square meters included in the municipality's updated Urban General Plan (PGOU). Once fully operational, the plant is expected to reach a production capacity of up to 6,000 homes per year, equivalent to roughly 500,000 square meters of construction annually.

The factory will utilize grade 6 industrialization standards, where approximately 95% of a building is manufactured, equipped, and verified in the factory before on-site assembly. This advanced automation and digitalization model is intended to reduce delivery times to an average of three months and mitigate risks associated with construction inflation.
