Cedae to suspend Imunana-Laranjal water system for 24 hours

Cedae will suspend water capture and treatment at the Imunana-Laranjal System for 24 hours, from 4:00 AM Tuesday (27) to 4:00 AM Wednesday (28), to conduct annual preventive maintenance.

The interruption affects approximately 2 million people across Niterói, São Gonçalo, Maricá, and the Ilha de Paquetá, as well as Itaboraí. In Maricá, the districts of Inoã and Itaipuaçu will be impacted, while the entire municipality of Niterói relies on this system.

Maintenance activities include technical inspections, cleaning, hydraulic structure reviews, and electrical and civil facility improvements. The company also plans to install a macrometer on the main adductor line to improve operational loss control and prepare the system for increased summer consumption.
