CEDES Victoria hosts low-cost haircutting event for social reintegration

The Sanction Execution Center (CEDES) in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, held a low-cost haircutting event to commemorate Barber's Day. The initiative allowed the public to observe the skills of incarcerated individuals who have been trained in the trade.

The event included a donation of hairdressing supplies to both the male and female sections of the facility by the Volunteer group of the Tamaulipas Secretariat of Public Security (SSPT), led by Eva Catalina Hernández Flores. Claudia Anaya Alvarado, director general of the Tamaulipas Institute for Employment Training (ITACE), attended to reaffirm the commitment of the state government to provide educational opportunities within correctional facilities.

Instructors noted that these vocational training programs, provided through ITACE-ICAT, support social reintegration by developing labor skills and improving the morale of the prison population.
