Cedevita Olimpija signs South African Osayi Osifo

Cedevita Olimpija has signed South African basketball player Osayi Osifo to a two-year contract. The 26-year-old, 206-centimeter-tall forward-center, joins the Ljubljana-based club following stints in the United States and the Basketball Africa League.

Osifo brings experience from the NBA G League, having played for the Austin Spurs, and recently participated in the NBA Summer League with the Denver Nuggets. His previous professional experience includes playing for the Calgary Surge in the CEBL and Al Ahly in Egypt, where he earned a spot in the league's second-best defensive lineup.

Head coach Zvezdan Mitrović described Osifo as a mobile and aggressive “lower five” who brings a different type of energy and defensive presence to the team. Additionally, the club announced that Maks Ciperle and Djibril Samba Gueye will be sent on loan to Kansai Helios Domžale.
