Cedi Osman explains departure from Panathinaikos for PAOK

Turkish forward Cedi Osman has detailed the reasons behind his departure from Panathinaikos and his subsequent move to PAOK. In an interview with Eurohoops, Osman explained that while he had a year remaining on his contract and expected renewal discussions, both parties ultimately felt the club was moving in a different direction.

Osman characterized the situation as a business matter, noting a lack of sufficient communication over the summer but emphasizing that there is no ill will between him and Panathinaikos management, including Dimitris Giannakopoulos. He expressed gratitude for his two years with the club and his positive relationship with the fans.

Regarding his move to PAOK, Osman stated he was motivated by the vision presented by coach Andrea Trinchieri and club official Telis Mystakidis. He noted that the opportunity to play a more significant role and the club's ambition to return to the EuroLeague were primary factors in his decision. His personal goal is to help PAOK compete at the highest European level.
