Cedi Osman signs with PAOK after emotional Panathinaikos farewell
Turkish forward Cedi Osman arrived in Thessaloniki in July 2026 to complete his transfer from Panathinaikos to PAOK. After undergoing medical examinations, he posted a heartfelt message on social media thanking the "Panathinaikos family," writing, "This is not a goodbye, it is a message of gratitude… I will carry this real bond with me for the rest of my life." He highlighted the two‑year spell with the green club, the support that made him feel at home, and his desire for a longer stay that circumstances did not allow.
The move, described by former Greek international Ibrahim Kutluay as "interesting but hard to understand," is one of PAOK’s most significant signings in recent years and generated large fan enthusiasm ahead of his official presentation at the PAOK Sports Arena. The transfer includes a three‑year contract reportedly worth around €9 million.
