CEDIA Expo highlights expansion of smart home and residential AV markets
At the CEDIA Expo, industry leaders discussed the evolution of the residential audiovisual and smart home sectors. Paul Miller, CEO of Forge, addressed rumors regarding the future of the event following recent acquisitions by Apollo Global Management, confirming that the CEDIA Expo will continue and will return to Las Vegas next year.
Miller emphasized that while audio and video remain fundamental, the industry is shifting toward a “total home” approach. This expansion includes lighting, energy management, security, outdoor technology, and artificial intelligence. He noted that professional integrators will remain the central focus of the event as they increasingly collaborate with architects, designers, and builders.
ADI also utilized the expo to showcase its expanding Smart Living Ecosystem. The company demonstrated integrated hardware, software, and services designed to simplify installation and management for integrators. Featured technologies included products from Samsung, Ubiquiti, KEF, and Klipsch, alongside ADI’s exclusive brands covering networking, lighting, audio, and surveillance.
