CeeDee Lamb to miss at least two games with ankle injury

Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is expected to miss at least two games due to a high-ankle sprain. The injury occurred during the first quarter of a game against the Chicago Bears when Lamb rolled his left ankle during a tackle.

While Lamb initially expressed optimism about a quick return, medical assessments indicate he will miss the Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers and the Week 5 game against the New York Jets. His status will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis following those contests. Team owner Jerry Jones noted that placing Lamb on injured reserve remains a possibility.

Lamb has been a central figure in the Cowboys' offense, recording 498 receiving yards and four touchdowns through the first few games of the 2026 season. His absence forces the team to redistribute passing targets for quarterback Dak Prescott during a critical period of the season.
