Ceer unveils Exobot sedan and SUV as Saudi Arabia’s first national EV brand
Saudi Arabia’s national automotive brand, Ceer, has officially unveiled its first two flagship electric vehicles: the Exobot sedan and SUV. The launch, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, marks a major milestone in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative to diversify its economy and establish a domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
Ceer is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Foxconn. The Exobot models feature advanced technology, including an 800V electrical architecture, a 112kWh battery, and a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system capable of producing up to 1,111 horsepower. The sedan is designed for high performance, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time reported between 2.1 and 2.6 seconds, while the SUV is noted for its 2.4 to 2.9 second acceleration. Both vehicles incorporate specialized features like the ‘Shahin Wing’ doors and a ‘Halo Cooling’ system designed to manage extreme desert temperatures.
Production will take place at the Ceer Manufacturing Complex in King Abdullah Economic City, described as one of the world’s most advanced automotive facilities. The company plans to expand its portfolio to seven models over the next five years. By 2034, Ceer is projected to contribute approximately $8 billion to the Saudi GDP and generate a $21 billion net gain for the national trade balance.
