Ceglie del Campo to transform former RAI site into Parco delle Lamie
The Municipality of Bari has approved the technical-economic feasibility project for the Parco delle Lamie, a new urban park located in the former RAI area of Ceglie del Campo. The project aims to transform approximately 12 hectares of currently abandoned land, characterized by uncultivated fields and disused buildings, into a multifunctional green space.
The park will feature green areas, educational gardens, playgrounds, and spaces dedicated to culture and social interaction. Designed by the SIT&A studio in collaboration with Bari's territory recovery sector, the development intends to act as an ecological link between local ravines (lame) and reconnect the urban fabric with the surrounding historical agricultural landscapes.
A civic participation process will involve citizens, associations, and local entities in defining the spaces and management methods during the subsequent design phases. The initiative is framed as a step toward ecological transition and climate change adaptation for the city of Bari.
