Ceilândia police arrest suspect in 2023 homicide case

Two men were arrested in Ceilândia, Federal District, during a police operation. One suspect is investigated for his involvement in a 2023 qualified homicide. Investigators allege that a group of approximately eight people cornered and attacked the victim with stones, sticks, and kicks. The motive is believed to be related to the suspect's refusal to accept his former partner's new relationship.

The first suspect had been a fugitive since October 9, following a preventive arrest warrant issued due to the severity of the crime and the risk of witness intimidation. The second individual, a 34-year-old man, was apprehended for an outstanding sentence regarding the illegal possession of a firearm. Both men were taken to the 15th Police Station and remain at the disposal of the justice system.
