Ceilândia police chase leads to five arrests and one injury
A police pursuit in Ceilândia on Sunday morning resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the injury of an adolescent. The Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) identified the group's silver two-door vehicle as having characteristics similar to one used in a recent armed robbery at a gas station in Brazlândia.
During the chase, the driver reportedly ignored orders to stop, drove through a central median, and performed dangerous maneuvers that endangered pedestrians. The driver also attempted to ram police vehicles. To stop the pursuit, officers fired at the car's tires; a fragment from a shot hitting the rear left tire struck the adolescent inside the vehicle.
The chase ended when the car struck a curb. Police recovered a silver .38 caliber revolver that had been thrown from the vehicle during the flight. The injured adolescent was taken to the Ceilândia Regional Hospital, while the adults were transported to the 15th Police Station. Investigations are ongoing to confirm the group's involvement in the Brazlândia robbery.
