Celal Ozan crafts recycled-material miniatures of Bolu landmarks

Celal Ozan, a 71‑year‑old retired civil servant living in Bolu, Turkey, creates miniature replicas of the town’s notable structures—including a summer house, a mosque, a car, and old agricultural tools—using discarded cardboard, plastic, wood and construction waste. Over the past five to six years he has produced more than 150 such models, a hobby he began after seeing a similar project on television.

Ozan says the activity fills his free time, helps alleviate his eye‑tension condition, and allows him to stay active while tending to his garden and farm work. He collects the recyclable materials himself and assembles the miniatures with the belief that “if someone else can do it, why not me.”
