Celaya book fairs open call for local authors

The Celaya International Book Fair (FILCEL) and the International Children's and Youth Book Fair (FILIJ) 2026 have opened a call for entries for local authors. The invitation is extended to writers who are originally from or reside in Celaya and have published works in print across various literary, artistic, academic, or educational genres.

Interested applicants must submit an official form along with required documentation, including a valid ID, proof of residence, a synopsis of the work, a high-resolution author photograph, and the book cover. The deadline for submission is August 21 at 17:00 hours. Proposals will be evaluated by an organizing committee based on editorial relevance, quality, thematic diversity, and agenda balance. Results will be announced on September 1 via the official platforms of the Instituto de Arte y Cultura de Celaya (INSMACC).
