Celaya faces infrastructure delays and road closures

Public works in Celaya, Guanajuato, are facing delays due to missing execution annexes required to tender 26 projects funded by state debt. Juan Refugio Rojas Rivera, Director of Public Works, noted that while 168.6 million pesos were allocated for projects including 23 pavings and river canal improvements, the municipality has yet to receive the necessary documentation from the state government to begin bidding.

Simultaneously, the city is implementing various road maintenance works. Re-paving projects are scheduled to begin on streets such as Juárez and 5 de Mayo, which will cause temporary partial closures for two to three weeks. Other affected areas include Álvaro Obregón, Benito Juárez, and Irrigación. These local works are part of an ongoing effort to address potholes and improve road conditions across the municipality.
