Celaya faces traffic chaos and safety concerns amid railway works

The city of Celaya, Guanajuato, is experiencing significant disruptions due to ongoing passenger train construction and various safety incidents. Railway works on Avenida Ferrocarril Central and Eje Manuel J. Clouthier have caused severe traffic congestion, long delays, and economic losses for local businesses due to reduced customer flow and dust.

Public safety concerns have also risen following several incidents. A man's body was found in an advanced state of decomposition in alfalfa fields near San Cayetano, showing signs of violence. Additionally, two fatal traffic accidents occurred on the Federal 45 highway between Celaya and Villagrán, resulting in two deaths. Residents have also reported frequent vehicle break-ins, specifically targeting parked cars in high-traffic areas such as 5 de Mayo street and López Mateos boulevard.
