Celebrities react to Serbian student movement victory

Singer Annie Lennox and actor Javier Bardem have shared social media posts celebrating the success of the Serbian student movement. Following the victory of the Studentska Lista in parliamentary elections, Lennox posted footage of celebrations at Slavija Square in Belgrade, stating that the results prove the effectiveness of protests and that 'the people of Brazil and Serbia have had their say.'

Javier Bardem also shared footage of the celebrations, describing the event as a 'historic moment.' He noted that the movement, which began on university campuses nearly two years ago, grew into a nationwide effort that ended more than a decade of authoritarian rule under Aleksandar Vučić.
