Celebrity River Cruises launches European “Before and After” shore‑stay packages

Celebrity River Cruises announced a new “Before and After Stays” programme that adds two‑ to three‑night, fully organised land extensions to its European river itineraries. The first destinations, Prague and Budapest, will be available for bookings starting in 2027, followed by Amsterdam and Lausanne in 2028. Each stay includes premium or ultra‑premium hotel rooms, daily breakfast, ship‑to‑city transfers and daily Discovery Collection tours led by local experts. Guests can choose from at least three themed tours per day covering history, food, art or local culture, with “Local Storytellers” providing in‑depth narratives and “Destination Insiders” offering personal recommendations.

The initiative is designed to give cruise passengers a deeper connection to the cities they visit, extending the cruise experience on land while handling all logistics. Laura Hodges Bethge, President of Celebrity Cruises, said the stays aim to “bring guests closer to Europe’s culture, history and people, onboard and ashore.” The programme will support more than 50 river destinations with 33 sailings scheduled for 2027 and 160 for 2028.
