Celebrity updates for Strictly Come Dancing and Mira quién baila

Updates regarding major dance competition programs have emerged in both the United Kingdom and Costa Rica.

In the UK, the BBC has announced details for the 2026 season of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Paralympic legend Dame Sarah Storey, the most successful British Paralympic athlete with 19 gold medals, is confirmed as the seventh celebrity participant. The upcoming season will feature new presenters Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe, and Josh Widdicombe, while the judging panel remains unchanged. The lineup also sees a reorganization of professional dancers, with several fan favorites departing.

In Costa Rica, singer Marko Jara declined an invitation to appear as a guest on ‘Mira quién baila’. The show planned a special gala where existing couples would dance with a guest; contestant Christian Gómez ‘Tapón’ and dancer Lucía Jiménez had requested Jara’s participation. Jara cited prior work commitments on social media as the reason for his inability to join the production.
