Celeste Misso evicted from Naples home after 28 years
A Naples court ordered the seizure and eviction of an apartment on Vico Donnaregina that had been occupied for nearly three decades by Celeste Misso and her two sons. Police from the Vicaria‑Mercato precinct carried out the decree, returning the property to its legitimate owner.
The three occupants are charged with illegal occupation of a dwelling aggravated by a mafia method, as well as fraudulent electricity use. Celeste Misso is the daughter of former Camorra figure Umberto Misso and the niece of ex‑boss Giuseppe Misso, while her late husband Vincenzo Prestigiacomo was killed in a 2006 Camorra ambush. The seizure was requested by the Direzione distrettuale antimafia di Napoli and approved by the Giudice per le Indagini Preliminari, with prosecutor Sergio Amato overseeing the case.
