Celestyal Cruises announces successful Western Mediterranean winter program

Celestyal Cruises has announced that bookings for its inaugural winter program in the Western Mediterranean have exceeded expectations. The program, which went on sale on July 1, features the flagship vessel Celestyal Discovery, which will homeport in Tarragona.

Seven-night voyages will depart from Barcelona and travel to Lisbon, with scheduled stops in Málaga, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Cádiz, Tangier, Valencia, Palma, and Sète. Some itineraries include overnight stays at turnaround ports to facilitate local cultural immersion. These sailings can be combined into 14-night trips without duplicate port calls.

Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its lineup for the 2027-28 season. This expansion will include the debut of the Celestyal Journey in winter operations, offering routes that connect Athens to Istanbul. John Diorio, vice president and managing director for North America, noted that booking numbers are “way ahead of our expectations” following the initial two months of sales.
