Celina Leão leads Distrito Federal polls with 53% ahead of second round
A new Quaest poll regarding the Distrito Federal gubernatorial second round shows Celina Leão (PP) leading with 53% of voting intentions, while Leandro Grass (PT) follows with 33%. The survey, conducted between October 8 and 11, indicates that 88% of voters have already decided on their candidate. The poll also notes an increase in approval for Leão's administration, which rose to 39% 'good or great' ratings.
Amid the campaign, tensions have risen following accusations from Leão that the PT distributed fraudulent pamphlets featuring her image but the incorrect campaign number 22. The Grass campaign has denied any involvement in the distribution. Additionally, a judge from the TRE-DF ordered the University of Brasília's Social Work Academic Center to remove a video that made claims regarding the potential destruction of public health services under Leão's leadership.
