Distrito Federal elections: Celina Leão and Michelle Bolsonaro lead polls

As elections approach in the Distrito Federal, recent polling data shows Celina Leão leading the race for Governor. According to Datafolha, Leão holds 53% of valid votes, while Leandro Grass follows with 26%. An IGAPE survey suggests an even stronger lead for Leão, placing her at 57.8% of valid votes, which would potentially secure a first-round victory.

In the race for the Senate, Michelle Bolsonaro is leading the contest for the two available seats. Datafolha reports her at 23% of voter intentions, followed by Leila do Vôlei and Bia Kicis, who are tied at 18% each.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Court has ordered candidate Bia Kicis to remove a video from social media within 24 hours. The court ruled that the video, which accused members of Leila do Vôlei’s team of corruption, presented factual accusations rather than mere political opinion. Failure to comply carries a daily fine of R$ 5,000.

Former President Jair Bolsonaro remains under house arrest in Brasília. His wife, Michelle Bolsonaro, is expected to spend election night at home with him due to his legal restrictions and her campaign routine.
