Celina Leão leads polls in Distrito Federal runoff election

The second-round election for the government of the Distrito Federal (DF) is intensifying between incumbent Celina Leão (PP) and Leandro Grass (PT). Recent polling shows Leão maintaining a significant lead. A Quaest survey indicates she holds 53% of voter intentions compared to Grass's 33%, while Real Time Big Data reports a wider margin, placing Leão at 60% and Grass at 40% of valid votes.

Both candidates are actively campaigning across various administrative regions. Leão has focused her agenda on infrastructure projects, including a proposed 78-kilometer metro expansion to Santa Maria and a R$ 18 million works package for Núcleo Bandeirante, which includes long-awaited sewage improvements in Vila Cauhy. She also announced that the organizing committee for a major education sector civil service exam (SEDF) would be revealed soon.

Leandro Grass is concentrating on direct voter contact through street campaigning and community meetings in areas like Riacho Fundo I and Varjão, positioning himself as a critic of the current administration. The runoff election is scheduled for October 25.
