Celina Leão leads Federal District runoff poll with 55% support

A new Datafolha poll indicates that Celina Leão (PP) leads the second-round race for the Government of the Federal District with 55% of the intended votes, while Leandro Grass (PT) follows with 37%. When considering only valid votes, Leão holds a 60% preference against Grass's 40%. The survey, conducted between October 6 and 8, has a margin of error of three percentage points.

Leão, the current governor, is campaigning on a platform of economic stability, promising not to increase taxes and to provide legal certainty for the productive sector. Her campaign has received support from figures such as Flávio Bolsonaro, Michelle Bolsonaro, and Damares Alves. She has also engaged with local leaders and business representatives to discuss infrastructure and public services.

Grass is intensifying his campaign efforts, including a walk in Ceilândia alongside President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The second round of the election is scheduled for October 25.
