Cellamare and Capurso to combat waste dumping on Statale 100

Mayors Gianluca Vurchio of Cellamare and Michele Laricchia of Capurso, alongside Anas technicians, conducted a joint inspection of the Statale 100 connection leading to the Capurso industrial zone. The area has suffered from severe degradation for over 18 months due to the continuous illegal dumping of bulky waste and inert materials.

To address the issue, Anas will carry out a complete waste collection operation, with the municipalities of Cellamare and Capurso responsible for subsequent disposal. Additionally, local police will intensify patrols, and environmental surveillance camera traps will be installed in high-risk areas to identify and penalize those responsible for the illegal dumping.
