Celle district mayoral candidates introduced ahead of local elections

Upcoming local elections in the Celle district are featuring several mayoral candidates. In the Samtgemeinde Flotwedel, Miriam Schmidtke is running as an independent candidate, offering voters the choice between her candidacy and a ‘no’ option.

In Südheide, the mayoral race features incumbent Katharina Ebeling (CDU) and Frank Huchler (WAS). Ebeling is seeking a second term, citing her work on economic, educational, and residential development. Her priorities include the 2040 community development plan, health, and civil protection.
