Celle health authorities launch lecture series on healthy digital media use for children
Experts advise that children under the age of two should be kept entirely away from digital media to avoid potential delays in language and motor skill development. As children grow, the focus shifts from mere duration to the quality and type of content consumed, emphasizing that active engagement, such as video chatting with family, differs significantly from passive scrolling or gaming.
In response to these digital challenges, the Gesundheitsregion Celle and the Celle district health department are organizing a lecture series this autumn. The program includes sessions on the digital foundations for nursery and daycare-aged children, insights into media addiction counseling, and guidance from the Celle Police Inspection on protecting children from digital dangers. The lectures are free and open to parents and educators.
