Celleno hosts book presentation on the rebirth of Celleno Vecchio

Approximately 150 people gathered at the former Convent of San Giovanni Battista in Celleno for the presentation of the book “Oltre l’abbandono. Cronache di una rinascita per Celleno Vecchio” (Beyond Abandonment: Chronicles of a Rebirth for Old Celleno), published by LetteraVentidue.

The event featured a discussion between author Massimo Fordini Sonni, Superintendent Margherita Eicheberg, and Professor Alfonso Giancotti from Sapienza University of Rome. The dialogue focused on the relationship between contemporary architecture and historical heritage, tracing the village's journey from abandonment to its ongoing recovery efforts supported by the Lazio Region.

Notable attendees included Mayor Luca Beraldo, regional councilors Enrico Panunzi and Giulio Zelli, and former mayors Eugenio Rastrelli, Marco Taschini, and Marco Bianchi. The presentation also highlighted the historical significance of the artist Enrico Castellani, who established his atelier in the village in 1973.
