Cellfie Mobile upgrades Georgian network, boosting 5G speeds

Cellfie Mobile has announced significant upgrades to its network infrastructure in Georgia. In July, the company added five new base stations in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kholavachaura, while modernizing existing stations at 92 locations, including Rustavi, Poti, Kutaisi, and various settlements in Adjara.

These improvements have resulted in a nearly 16% increase in 5G file upload speeds across the entire network. Specific regional gains include a 17.4% increase in upload and download speeds in Tbilisi, a 24% improvement in network response time in Rustavi, and a doubling of average 5G upload speeds in Batumi.

The company also reported that its 4G network handled 7.2% more internet traffic and served 4.4% more active users compared to the May–June average, maintaining stable quality despite the increased load.
