Cellnex and Vodafone extend Spanish tower partnership

Telecom tower owner Cellnex and mobile operator Vodafone have signed a new framework agreement to extend their existing partnership in Spain for an additional ten years. The deal covers roughly 2,000 existing tower sites and adds a few hundred inherited locations, allowing both companies to continue sharing infrastructure without new construction.

The extension maintains the current technical and economic terms, providing stability for investors and facilitating the progressive rollout of 5G services across major cities and urban areas. By using already‑installed assets, the agreement avoids fresh capital outlays and minimizes environmental impact while supporting higher data traffic in densely populated zones.
