Cellole: Youth football match suspended after violent brawl

A youth football match in Cellole, Caserta, was suspended following a violent brawl involving players aged 17 and 18. The incident began when a player from the visiting team, Albanova, attempted to mediate a dispute between teammates and opponents, which resulted in him being insulted and physically assaulted by three local players.

The violence extended to the stands, where supporters attempted to climb over protective barriers. Outside the facility, a group of approximately 30 people gathered to threaten the visiting team, necessitating police intervention to escort the athletes and their families to safety.

The Polizia di Stato is currently investigating the incident, utilizing social media footage to identify those involved. Local political representatives have condemned the violence, calling for strict sanctions and measures to ensure youth sports remain safe environments for growth and respect.
