Cellstar Industry to launch CS-P220 dashcam using existing rear-view cameras

Cellstar Industry Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the CS-P220 dashcam, scheduled for September 2026. The device is specifically designed for vehicles that already have existing RCA (NTSC) connection rear-view cameras installed, such as trucks, camper vans, and microbuses, allowing for seamless front and rear recording.

The CS-P220 features Sony Group’s STARVIS sensor technology, utilizing ‘Night Clear Ver. 2’ to ensure clear footage in low-light environments like tunnels or at night. It supports Full HD recording and includes High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology to prevent overexposure or underexposure during sudden light changes.

Additional technical features include built-in GPS with warning functions for speed cameras and wrong-way driving, compatibility with the ‘Michibiki’ satellite positioning service for improved accuracy, and a parking mode capable of recording for up to 12 hours after the engine is turned off. The unit is designed for versatile installation on various windshield angles and is manufactured in Japan.
