Celltrion announces 100 billion KRW share buyback and new profit-sharing policy
Celltrion has announced a mid-to-long-term shareholder return policy, committing to utilize approximately one-third of its annual consolidated net profit for shareholder value enhancement.
As an immediate measure, the company's board has resolved to purchase 524,384 shares of its own stock, valued at approximately 100 billion KRW. This buyback, which is scheduled to begin via market transactions on September 1, will be followed by a full cancellation of the purchased shares to improve profitability metrics such as earnings per share (EPS).
Including this recent decision, Celltrion's total planned share buybacks for the current year amount to 300 billion KRW. The company intends to flexibly combine cash dividends with share buybacks and cancellations depending on market conditions, stock price valuation, and financial health.
