Celso Borges remains doubtful for Alajuelense vs. Motagua match

Celso Borges, captain of Liga Deportiva Alajuelense, is uncertain for the upcoming CONCACAF Central American Cup semifinal second leg against Motagua. The midfielder has been managing a muscular discomfort that forced his substitution during the first leg in Tegucigalpa.

Borges stated that while the injury is not serious, it is “deceptive,” noting that feeling better does not necessarily mean the issue is resolved. He emphasized the need for caution to avoid aggravating the condition, particularly with a national derby on the horizon.

Club coach Óscar Ramírez is monitoring Borges's evolution. A final decision regarding his participation in Thursday's match at the Alejandro Morera Soto stadium will be made following medical evaluations.
