Celta Vigo defender Javi Rodriguez attracts interest from major European clubs

Javi Rodriguez, a 23-year-old versatile defender for Celta Vigo, has emerged as a significant target for several top European football clubs. The Spanish player, who can operate as both a center-back and right-back, has recently signed a contract extension with Celta Vigo that runs until June 2030.

Despite the new deal, Celta Vigo has set a release clause valued at approximately 40 million to 44.9 million euros. Major clubs reportedly monitoring his situation include Paris Saint-Germain, where manager Luis Enrique is said to admire his technical and tactical flexibility.

In England, Newcastle United, Everton, Bournemouth, and Fulham have previously shown interest in the player. Additionally, Italian clubs AC Milan and Como have been linked to the defender as teams look to strengthen their defensive lines.
