Celta Vigo seeks return of Stefan Bajcetic from Liverpool

Celta Vigo is interested in re-signing midfielder Stefan Bajcetic from Liverpool. The former Celta youth player, who joined Liverpool at age 16, has struggled with significant injury issues, including a major hamstring surgery in May 2025 that sidelined him for fifteen months.

Reports indicate that Liverpool may allow Bajcetic to leave as he is not part of current head coach Andoni Iraola's plans. Celta Vigo is reportedly seeking an agreement for Bajcetic to terminate his remaining year of contract at Anfield to facilitate a move.

Celta Vigo coach Fredi Álvarez has expressed interest in the midfielder to bolster the squad's creative zone, noting that while Bajcetic's injury history makes him a more attainable target, the club is working to complete the squad during the final week of the transfer window.
