Celtic ramps up transfer activity with Hassan bid and striker rumours

Celtic have submitted a second, larger offer for Egyptian winger Haissem Hassan of Real Oviedo, following a reduction in his release clause to £10 million after the Spanish club’s relegation. Earlier reports suggested a £3.4 million bid, but the latest proposal is described as “huge” and appears to have softened Oviedo’s hard‑line stance.

At the same time, the club is being linked with two potential strikers: former Celtic talisman Kyogo Furuhashi, who is said to be interested in a return to Glasgow after leaving 18 months ago, and Danish forward Kasper Høgh, also reportedly on Celtic’s radar.

Celtic’s summer transfer window has been sluggish; the only new signing so far is Colombian striker Camilo Duran, acquired for £5.5 million and already scoring in pre‑season. Player Colby Donovan urged fans to trust the board while the club continues to chase additional targets after missing out on Kelechi Iheanacho and Marcelo Saracchi.
