Celtic considering January departures for McCowan and Ralston
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill may consider allowing midfielder Luke McCowan to depart in January, provided the club secures a replacement. McCowan has struggled to find consistent playing time recently, though O’Neill has indicated that opportunities for the former Dundee midfielder should arise before Christmas.
Additionally, the club is reportedly prepared to accelerate the departure of 27-year-old defender Anthony Ralston in the January transfer window if interest is received. Ralston, whose contract expires next summer, has seen limited minutes this season behind Alistair Johnston and Jordan Lotomba. A move could allow the former Scotland international to seek regular football to revive his international ambitions.
