Celtic FC loses all active Japanese players following transfer window

Celtic FC currently has no Japanese players in its active squad following the final day of the summer transfer market. Midfielder Reo Hatate has transferred to Burnley in the English Championship.

While Arata Yamada remains under Celtic's ownership, he is currently on loan at Belgian side KV Leuven. This marks a significant shift for the Scottish club, which previously saw a surge in Japanese talent following the tenure of manager Ange Postecoglou. At its peak three years ago, the club had six Japanese players on its roster.
