Celtic FC nears multiple signings ahead of transfer deadline

Celtic FC is actively strengthening its squad ahead of the transfer deadline with several high-profile moves. The club is nearing a £3.4 million permanent signing of 19-year-old PSV Eindhoven midfielder Joel van den Berg, who is expected to sign a contract lasting until 2030.

In addition to Van den Berg, Celtic is working to secure Shim Mheuka, an 18-year-old Chelsea striker, on a season-long loan. The club is also linked to a loan-to-buy deal for Parma midfielder Oliver Sorensen and has submitted a loan bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Justin Devenny.

These acquisitions follow the departure of Arne Engels to West Ham and are intended to bolster midfield depth under manager Martin O’Neill. Other recent arrivals include Mika Baur from Paderborn, as well as strikers Kasper Hogh and Camilo Duran.
