Celtic and Braga secure decisive leads in European qualifying

In European club football qualifying, Celtic FC secured a commanding 3-0 victory over LASK in the Champions League playoff first leg. Benjamin Nygren opened the scoring, followed by two goals from Camilo Duran. Despite LASK creating several opportunities, including two goals that were disallowed due to offside calls, they struggled with efficiency against the Scottish side.

In the UEFA Conference League playoffs, SC Braga defeated Austria Vienna 2-0 in the first leg. Pau Victor scored from a penalty in the 25th minute, and Diego Rodrigues added a second goal in the 88th minute. Braga's victory comes despite recent challenges with gastrointestinal infections affecting their squad. The second leg is scheduled to take place in Vienna on August 27.
