Celtic players Paulo Bernardo and Stephen Welsh make headlines

Former Celtic midfielder Paulo Bernardo has discussed the circumstances surrounding his loan move to the Polish club Gornik Zabrze. Bernardo noted that a lack of positional consistency was a primary issue, stating that he was frequently moved from his preferred attacking role to a deeper ‘six’ position. He expressed that he struggled to maintain a run of games due to these tactical shifts and frequent time on the bench.

In related club news, former Celtic academy graduate Stephen Welsh has made his senior debut for the Scotland national team. Welsh, who recently joined Swansea City after Celtic agreed to terminate the final year of his contract, played the full match in a 0-0 draw against Slovenia. His performance has prompted discussions regarding Celtic’s decision to allow the defender to leave the club.
