Celtic Pursues Manchester United Goalkeeper Radek Vitek
Celtic have indicated interest in 22‑year‑old Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek, who is currently on Manchester United's books. Vitek spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Championship side Bristol City, making 41 appearances, keeping 12 clean sheets and winning the club’s Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year awards.
Manager Martin O’Neill is said to be monitoring the keeper as Celtic look to bolster their goalkeeping options beyond Viljami Sinisalo and Ross Doohan. The club may face competition from Premier League newcomers Hull City and domestic rivals Rangers for Vitek’s signature. Vitek, who joined United from Sigma Olomouc in 2020 and has also had loan spells at Accrington Stanley and Austria’s Blau‑Weiß Linz, could leave United permanently or on another loan depending on the outcome of any negotiations.
