Perugia Calcio sold to Arenacuri; Alessandro Gaucci resumes leadership

Perugia Calcio has signed a preliminary agreement to transfer 100% of its shares from current owner Javier Faroni to the investment group Arenacuri srl. The deal, announced by club director Hernán Garcia Borras and Arenacuri president Francesco Maria Lana, marks the return of Alessandro Gaucci, son of former president Luciano Gaucci, to the club’s hierarchy. Gaucci will oversee the sporting side and has already appointed former Serie A coach Aimo Diana to replace Giovanni Tedesco as head coach.

The new management highlighted the urgent need to rebuild the squad, noting that only a few players remain under contract. Gaucci said the team must be assembled quickly to be competitive for the upcoming Serie C season. A press conference is planned to detail the ownership change and the club’s future project.
