Celtic sign Colombian striker Camilo Duran from Qarabag

Celtic Football Club announced the signing of 24‑year‑old Colombian forward Camilo Duran from Azerbaijani club Qarabag on a five‑year contract, making him the first Colombian to represent the Scottish side.

Manager Martin O’Neill said Celtic had been tracking Duran since April and completed the transfer after confirming his own tenure, aiming to add firepower ahead of the Champions League qualifier and a defence of the Scottish Premiership title.

Duran said he had “absolutely no doubt” about joining Celtic, describing the move as a childhood dream to play and score in the Champions League and hoping strong performances will earn him a senior call‑up for Colombia.
