Celtic signs 16‑year‑old goalkeeper while Arsenal eyes rival 16‑year‑old winger

Celtic have completed the signing of 16‑year‑old goalkeeper Warren Lyall from Dundee after a trial period with Arsenal. The Scotland youth international, born in December 2009, has already featured above his age group at Dundee and will join Celtic’s B team on his first professional contract, with the club also extending the deal of former Arsenal forward Alex Oxlade‑Chamberlain.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s pursuit of 16‑year‑old winger Jeremy Monga, a Leicester City scholar who will turn professional on 10 July, faces competition from Manchester City and Brentford. Monga, a Coventry‑born England youth international eligible for Zambia, became Leicester’s youngest‑ever scorer last season and is regarded as a highly sought‑after prospect as clubs vie for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
